At Calm Waters Counselling & Psychotherapy, I provide professional mental health treatment for children, youth, young adults, and adults. Each stage of life presents unique challenges, and therapy offers a space to explore those challenges with guidance, compassion, and evidence-based care.

  • Children & Youth (10–18 years): Support for anxiety, ADHD, depression, self-esteem, family stress, and school-related concerns.
  • Young Adults (18–24 years): Therapy for managing independence, post-secondary pressures, identity, relationships, and the transition into adulthood.
  • Adults (24–50 years): Treatment for stress, trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, relationship difficulties, work-life balance, and personal growth.

My practice integrates proven approaches such as CBT, DBT, ERP, EMDR trauma-informed care, and attachment-focused therapy to address a wide range of mental health concerns. Whether you are struggling with daily stress, navigating a life transition, or working through deeper emotional wounds, therapy can help you gain clarity, strengthen coping strategies, and improve overall well-being.

At Calm Waters, you will find a supportive and professional environment designed to help you move forward with resilience and purpose.

We provide a wide range of professional services to meet your needs. We promise to provide services to your highest level of satisfaction.

CBT
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive behavioural therapy is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on modifying dysfunctional emotions, behaviours, and thoughts by interrogating and uprooting negative or irrational beliefs. Considered a "solutions-oriented" form of talk therapy, CBT rests on the idea that thoughts and perceptions influence behaviour.
DBT
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Dialectical behavioural therapy is an effective combination of cognitive and behavioural therapies. The goal of DBT is to transform negative thinking patterns and destructive behaviours into positive outcomes. DBT is a researched-based way to establish coping mechanisms to implement in environments that may elicit old, destructive patterns.
ERP
Exposure & Response Prevention
Exposure and response prevention is a form of CBT used to treat a variety of conditions, including anxiety, phobias, and eating disorders. It is considered the gold-standard treatment for obsessive -compulsive disorder (OCD).
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from trauma and emotional distress. By using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR allows you to reprocess painful memories, reducing their emotional intensity and helping you move forward.

Effective for PTSD, anxiety, grief, and more, EMDR is a safe, structured approach that works with your brain’s natural healing processes. If you’re ready to explore this powerful therapy, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Reach out to learn more.
